Bunnings Sinks Production Process

Stainless steel is uncoiled and cut into pieces called blanks. The blank is stretched into a rough shape of a sink bowl. The blanks are then shaped using a punch press, which stretches and hardens the steel. 

Lubricant is applied to make it easier to shape the sink bowl again, and it goes through the punch press for more precise shaping. 

A drain hole is cut and a lip is formed around it, and the surface is ground to give it a brushed look. 

The double bowls of the kitchen sink, are welded together and the rim is shaped with a dye and trimmed with a press. 

Holes are made for taps and a soap dispenser, and the surface is scratched and polished to a fine finish. The trademark is embossed onto the sink using a hydraulic system, and a protective substance is applied to muffle sound and prevent condensation. The process takes about two and a half hours.
