It is an aluminum-silicon alloy coated steel pipe, in which aluminum content is 90%, silicon 10%. DX53D/SA1C Alunimized steel pipe/tube

A non-alloy steel grade that belongs to the category of continuous hot-dip coated steel (EN10346:2015).
Feature: A low-carbon steel with a coating of zinc and has a minimum yield strength of 140 MPa.
Performance: Good corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability


DX54D/SA1D Aluminized steel pipe/tube

A non-alloy steel grade that is classified under the category of galvanized steel (EN 10346:2015).
Feature: A low-carbon steel with a coating of zinc and has a minimum yield strength of 120MPa.
Performance: Good corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability, excellent deep-drawing properties, which makes it suitable for use in stamping and forming applications

WHY DO ALUMINIZED STEEL PIPE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER MATERIAL?


1. Expensive Raw Material: Aluminized steel is about 130-150 USD/MT higher than Z-A-M steel, 250-300USD/MT than galvanized steel.
2. Slow producing speed: For aluminized steel, it can be produced 30 meter/min, but for galvanized steel it is 80meter/min. The energy consuming is 4 times than that of galvanized steel pipe.
3. Frequent examination during producing process: Aluminized steel producing line need test in every producing part, which cause the waste iron rate increases.
4.High waste iron rate :Using aluminium to fufill the weld seam is easily to be fired, so the waste probality is higher.
5.High cost of loading: Because of big out diameter, usually it needs divepipe. To avoid abrasion, we wear it with plastic film by manual work, manual work is the highest cost in loading.
6.The distribution of raw materials produces a lot of waste iron: The stock ususally 1250mm width, which cause lots of waste iron.
