Dongfeng Motor Corp is one of the largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles in China. CUMM1NS is a leading company in product development, design, manufacturing and sales of diesel and CNG engines in the world. With the introduced electronic control engine platform, the technical centre owned by the company can design, develop and test engines specifically to meet diversified customer needs. The company's main product line up includes: B & C series engines of mechanical fuel system with displacement volume covering 3.9 litre (60 – 150 HP), 5.9 litre (160 – 235 HP), 8.3 litre (220 – 325 HP) which comply with Euro II emission standards and Tier I for off highway mechanical equipment.

The company also produces ISBe, ISCe, and ISLe series engines, 3.9 to 9 litres with full electronic control and a power range from a 100 to 400 HP which complies with Euro III and IV emission standards and Tier II, Tier III standards for off highway mechanical equipment, Dongfeng and CUMM1NS strategic cooperation has undergone 4 major steps since the mid-80's when it started as a license agreement for the B Series engine to today's development of a new 13 litre engine which will take advantage of CUMM1NS Industry leading technology that will make it capable of meeting future emission standards in global heavy duty markets. Dongfeng and CUMM1NS are also joint partners in the Fleetguard filter manufacturing plant in Shanghai.
