Reach stacker, the full name of container reach stacker, is a lifting equipment specially designed for 20-foot and 40-foot international containers. It is mainly used for stacking containers and horizontal transportation at docks and yards. Compared with forklifts, it has the advantages of flexibility, easy operation, good stability, low wheel pressure, high stacking layers, and high yard utilization.
The structural form of the reach stacker is quite special. Its main structure is usually in the form of a triangle, which is a triangle composed of three steel pipes. One of the straight pipes is the boom, and the other two inclined pipes are parallel to the ground.
