CERAMIC & PORCELAIN MEDIA

Ceramic abrasive media is the best choice for most mass finishing process from heavy cutting to fine polishing, and can be used with a wide variety of materials and part shapes. All ceramic tumbling media are manufactured to high quality standards. Our ceramic media have different cutting qualities, shapes, and sizes.
Required finishing results, machine size and the weight of the treated parts, are important aspects in choosing the right media composition and size to achieve the optimum process. Different types of media with varying amounts of abrasive are needed for the various processes.
Lucky Bridge manufactures various sizes and compositions of ceramic media in our production facilities. This ensures that the right media is available for each application. Special customer specific solutions can also be produced. Our test labs and our media production facilities work together to develop media that meets special requirements. This is our most common ceramic media. It's a more aggressive tumbling media that will give you both good burr removal and good media life. It's used on all steels, both hard and soft.


How We Make

The ceramic tumbling media is made by clay, sand, kaolin, feldspar together with abrasives during mixing. After mixing, this mixture will be formed into a variety of shapes and then high temperature firing it. Besides, the different proportion of abrasive to the binder has different abrasion performances.
