AIR BRAKE CHAMBER
Air brake chamber is a kind of device composed of air inlet, cover, diaphragm, support plate, return spring, shell, push rod, connecting fork, clamp and bolt, also known as sub pump. The function of the brake air chamber is to change the pressure of compressed air into the mechanical force to make the brake camshaft rotate, so as to realize the brake action.
When the car is braked, the air enters the brake chamber from the air inlet. Under the action of air pressure, the diaphragm deforms, pushes the push rod, drives the brake adjusting arm, turns the brake cam, and presses the brake shoe friction plate against the brake drum to produce the brake.
