HRSG Heat Recovery Steam Generator
HRSG Professional Waste Acid Recycling Boiler With ASME National Board Standard
Heat Recovery Steam Generators are a type of Waste Heat Recovery unit which uses waste heat (generally from Gas Turbines) to generate steam. Therefore, HRSGs are generally attached to the exhaust of Gas Turbines. They are commonly used in Combined Cycle Power Plants where both Gas and Steam turbines are used to drive generators. Common parts of a heat recovery steam generator include the following:
• Superheater and desuperheater
• Steam drum, mud drum, drum internals
• Tubes
• Duct Burner for supplemental firing
• Blow down tank
• Economizer
• Firing equipment including duct burner, burner management system, pilot burner
• Bypass stack and exhaust stack, sealing air fan, baffles, piping, valves and controls
Considerations
1. The design and construction of HRSG should be such that no detrimental vibration of tubes, piping, casing, transition ductwork and exhaust stack is present under any operating condition.
2. All components of HRSG system should be capable of being completely drained. Low point drains should be provided for all enclosures, ducts, piping, and coil assemblies. All drain connections provided on coil assemblies should be piped together to provide a single collection point.
3. Supplementary firing should be adopted as required and can be achieved by duct burners.
4. If designed and constructed to ASME BPVC, the manufacturer should obtain material certificates for all components, and all required code stamps and certificates .
5. Superheater elements should be located and supported to prevent vibration, sagging and misalignment
6. For greater efficiency economizers should generally be furnished as part of an HRSG.
