Wooden matches are match boxes containing wooden sticks in it. The box is made of coated duplex board to contain the sticks safely in it. Splints are Indian Malabarica/Poplar splint

Wax matches are match boxes containing wax sticks in it. The splints are made of perfectly chopped tissue paper with high grade wax coated. It is widely used in Windy areas due to high flame withstanding capability and ability to light under damp conditions.
