Pros:
There are no obstacles on the ground, which allows the fore-and-aft free rolling movement across the floor of toolboxes,
floor jacks, oil drains, and other shop equipment under a vehicle that is raised up in the air.
Cons:
You need to have a
high enough ceiling
to use the clearfloor lift. Since the overhead cross member is fixed, you will always be
limited to that maximum
height. If you plan to lift tall vehicles such as trucks and vans, you need to choose a clearfloor lift with enough height.
